Am 1. Januar 2010 belief sich die Anzahl der im Euro-Währungsgebiet ansässigen monetären Finanzinstitute (MFIs) auf insgesamt 8 076 und verringerte sich damit binnen Jahresfrist per saldo um 274 (3,3 %).
