Wie ich diesen Artikel schreibe, klingt mir die Stimme meines Mannes in den Ohren: "Fulham never wins!" (Fulham gewinnt nie!), eine fatale Fehleinschärzung, welche uns am 19.3.2006 im Spiel Fulham vs Chelsea so um die £800 (1,160 € zum damaligen Wechselkurs) gekostet hat. Fulham gewann wider Erwarten 1:0 und dieses Spiel war der Auslöser, dass ich angefangen habe, mich ernsthaft mit Fußballstatistik und Sportwetten zu beschäftigen.
