Erst katapultierte sich Man Utd aus der Champions League (am 7.12.2011), am Silverstertag unterlagen sie dem Schlusslicht der Premier League, Blackburn mit 2:3 und am Donnerstag siegte Newcastle 3:0 (!). Nicht, dass es vollkommen unerwartet kam, aber nun sieht es wirklich nicht mehr gut aus für Manchester Utd und die Chancen auf den diesjährigen Leaguetitel schwinden in der Ferne...
