Nach Erkenntnissen der BaFin bietet das Unternehmen FIPS Finance & Development auf seiner Website fips-finance.com unerlaubt Finanzdienstleistungen in Deutschland an. Das Unternehmen wird nicht von der BaFin beaufsichtigt. Gegenüber Kundinnen und Kunden wird wahrheitswidrig der Eindruck erweckt, bei den Betreibern der Website handele es sich um ein österreichisches Unternehmen, welches im österreichischen Firmenregister registriert sei. Dies ist nicht der Fall. Es handelt sich um einen Identitätsmissbrauch.
