The German Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) warns against WhatsApp groups that fraudulently claim to be operated by State Street Investment Management under their previous brand State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) or one of its affiliated companies. As part of the scam, it is fraudulently claimed that the WhatsApp groups are led by a State Street Investment Management employee named Michael J. Solecki, along with his alleged assistant Talia König. Although there is an employee of State Street Investment Management called Michael Solecki, there is no connection between the WhatsApp groups and Mr. Solecki, State Street Investment Management or any other company associated with it. This is a case of identity theft.
