flatexmaxDegiro/ FTKDEFondsInst: BaFin warns against identity fraud in WhatsApp groups

The German Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) warns against WhatsApp groups such as „VIP903-flatexDegiro“ and „D102flatexDegiro Hochklassiger Salon“, which are allegedly operated by flatexDegiro AG. In the WhatsApp groups consumers are enticed to trade financial products via the apps FTKDEFondsInst und flatexmaxDegiro. It is suspected that the unknown operators are offering banking and financial services without the required authorisation. The offers do not originate from flatexDegiro AG. FlatexDegiro AG does not sell financial products via WhatsApp groups. It is a case of identity fraud at the expense of the company and its employees.
