ICG GEF: BaFin warnt vor Identitätsmissbrauch in WhatsApp-Gruppen

Die Finanzaufsicht BaFin warnt vor Angeboten in WhatsApp-Gruppen, die angeblich von der Intermediate Capital Group (ICG) betrieben werden. Nach Erkenntnissen der BaFin werden in den WhatsApp-Gruppen Empfehlungen für den Kauf von Finanzinstrumenten und Kryptowährungen geteilt, welche sich angeblich über die App ICG GEF handeln lassen. Die Angebote stammen nicht von der ICG Europe S.à.r.l. – Frankfurt Branch oder einem anderen Unternehmen der Intermediate Capital Group. Es handelt sich um einen Identitätsmissbrauch. Die unbekannten Betreiber bieten ohne Erlaubnis Finanz- bzw. Wertpapierdienstleistungen sowie Kryptowerte-Dienstleistungen an.
