The marketindex 2008 Trading Championship is a virtual CFD trading competition. Using a marketindex Demo account the Trading Championship uses market prices and spreads so contestants are trading under real market conditions.
Ranking
Contestants are ranked based on their account's portfolio return for the period of the contest. The winner at the end of the period will be awarded £5,000.
On alternate days (Tues and Thurs) a leader board will be published on the on our Results page. Weekly winners are calculated as the greatest portfolio increase over the week until Monday midnight.
Dates
The official start of the marketindex 2008 Trading Championship is the 11th of February and the game will run until the 10th of March. Registration for the game will start on the 30th of January and be open until the end of the game.
Requirements
To join the contest there are two easy steps. First you need to create a marketindex Demo account and secondly register the account for the game and create with your trading pseudonym.
Statistics are compiled once a day at midnight so your account becomes active in the game at midnight on the day you registered it. Register by Feb 10th to ensure your trades from Feb 11th are included alternatively you can register throughout the period of the game.
Traders must make a minimum of 20 trades over the four weeks to qualify for the final prize money.
