Enhanced dealing and order screens, simplified navigation, improved research

On the weekend of 29th-30th March 2008 we will make a number of enhancements to the City Index Australia trading platform.

Trading platform enhancements

To make trading with us even easier, and give you quicker access to the information you need, we are improving the navigation, the dealing screens, and the research provided within the trading area of our website. We are also introducing continuously streaming prices within the deal ticket, and firm prices up to Our Size, to ensure absolute price transparency.

The trading platform will be organised into three sections - Trading, Research, and Account information – giving you easy access to a wealth of information and the ability to act on it instantly.

* Within the Trading area we will introduce a fixed deal ticket with firm prices quoted up to Our Size, ensuring absolute price transparency.

* Within the Account information area you will have the ability to change personal details, set account preferences and fund your account online.

* Within the Research section you will be able to display company information, historic prices and charts.

Trading

Enhanced dealing screen with firm prices up to Our Size ensuring absolute price transparency:

* A new, fixed, deal ticket with continuously streaming prices replaces the previous pop-up window.

* For each CFD market that we trade, we set a maximum size for which the price that we quote is firm. This size will be known as Our Size and provides certainty of execution for deals within this size.

* For deals over Our Size, you will receive a quote that you can choose to accept or decline.

Improved order ticket

* A new fixed order ticket replaces the previous pop-up window, with separate screens for opening orders and stops/limits.

* The process for setting OCO orders has changed slightly – these orders are set by adding an opening order, then selecting an icon on the active orders screen to set another linked opening order.

Additional account information and statements available online

* The "Account Summary" screen will show cash balance, unrealised P&L, net equity, and margin for each currency held on the account

* A new "Order History" screen will show your full order history.

Account information

Within the new Account information area you will have the ability to change personal details, set account preferences and fund your account online.

Research

Research will now be available within the trading pages, allowing you to display company information, historic prices and charts alongside the deal and order tickets.
