IG Sport - New part of IG Group's leisure brand

Geschrieben

IG Index, the world leaders in spread betting, have this week launched their sports spread betting offering, IG Sport, as its own separate brand.

IG Sport has sat very successfully under the IG Index label for over 10 years and accounts for 30% of the sports spread betting market. IG Sport will now operate as part of IG Group's leisure brand.

Tim Howkins, CEO of IG Group, said today, "The launch of IG Sport as a separate brand helps give our sport betting business its own clear identity. IG Sport sits alongside our fixed odds betting site extrabet and together the two sites offer an unrivalled range of bets for our sports betting clients."

This acts as a timely reminder to the market on the eve of one of the biggest betting days of the year with the Grand National this Saturday. IG Sport will be offering a full range of spread markets on the race. Extrabet will offer a full range of fixed odds bets, all featuring the 'Take it Now' function. The 'Take it Now' function constantly updates the value of a be in-running and allows clients to take a rofit before the end of an event.
