OTC-Derivatemarkt = 600 Billionen USD - Terminbörsen sind Gewinner der Krise

Wohl noch nie zuvor standen Derivate - künstliche Finanzprodukte wie Swaps, Forwards, Optionen und Futures - so sehr im Fokus der Weltöffentlichkeit wie derzeit. Von Banken kreierte Derivatetypen, die maßgeschneidert auf die Bedürfnisse der Finanzmarktakteure zugeschnitten sind und im Freiverkehr (OTC) gehandelt werden, gelten als eine der Keimzellen der Wirtschaftskrise. Dieser OTC-Derivatemarkt weist eine Größe von fast 600 Billionen US-Dollar auf.

 

[...] Seit mehr als einer Dekade hat sich das ausstehende Volumen am Markt der OTC-Kreditderivate Jahr für Jahr fast verdoppelt.
