FXDD - Hedging Announcement

Geschrieben
As many of you know, the NFA and the CFTC have passed Compliance Rule 2-43 that will end the practice of hedging. On May 15, 2009, forex dealers will no longer be permitted to carry a customer account that engages in hedging. If you are currently using hedging, we recommend that you modify your trading strategy. Needless to say, this rule will affect all "Expert Advisors" that employ the hedging strategy. FXDD advises you to modify your code and test your EA in a demo account. FXDD will send another notice and post it on our website advising you of the date that FXDD will implement the new rule and the date at which demo accounts will reflect the change. We appreciate your business and your understanding. Should you have any further questions please contact our customer service. Thank you for your continued support.

The FXDD Team.

update:

To our valued clients,

In our effort to provide the best solution for your trading regarding the NFA's new rule on hedging, please know that we have been in contact with the NFA and have offered several solutions which we believe will accommodate almost all types of trading strategies and comply with the NFA rules. Our discussions with the NFA are ongoing and we will keep you advised. In the mean time, know that FXDD is making no immediate changes to any platforms and that you will be fully advised prior to any proposed changes.

Sincerely,

The FXDD Team

Da hat sich einer die Boxhandschuhe angelegt. Sieht nach einem Battle aus, schmeckt aber irgendwie nach naiver Einzelaktion. :top:

Retail Forex Industry - FXDD Fighting NFA Hedging Rule a Misleading Information. Apologies FXDD

Hi everyone

Unfortunately for me from time to time I make mistakes. That is something I’m trying to improve but I can not guarantee that I’ll succeed in it 100%.

But if I must praise something about myself I would say that I’m a person that does not have any problem to recognize that I was wrong and to clarify things as I consider the truth as a keystone in life.

Interbank FX bietet Kunden folgende Lösung an

Solution for customers who wish to use a hedging strategy:

Interbank FX's MultiTrader 4

Recently the NFA issued new regulations prohibiting traders from hedging (having long and short positions open on the same currency pair at the same time). We realize that said regulatory changes will affect the trading style of many customers. As a solution, IBFX's MultiTrader 4 allows users to easily manage multiple accounts at once; via this new trading tool you are able to go short in one account and long in another or vice versa!

Margin

Keep in mind when using this tool, you are now operating in two separate accounts, and thus, margin rules will behave differently. Formally, additional margin was not required when hedging open positions. Going forward, traders utilizing MultiTrader 4 as a hedging tool will be required to post margin on both sides of the trade, thus increasing the risk of a margin call.
