Genau so hab ich es anfangs auch gemacht und umständlich ein Demo angefordert. Aber im Downloadformular steht wirklich drin, wo man die User ID findet. Das liest sich nur keiner durch.

Ach irgendwie nervt mich MC wieder...

Wenn ich 10 Charts öffne von einer Aktie so werden 10 tickets geöffnet. Wenn ich jetzt die 10 Aktien ändere so werden wiederum 10 weitere Tickets bei IB geöffnet aber die 10 "alten" Aktien nicht freigelassen. Somit habe ich 20 Tickets offen bei IB und ich habe inst. nur 100 von denen.

Um ein Ticket freizulassen muss ich MC neu starten was ich nicht will bei offenen Positionen.

Im MC Forum habe ich die Sache schon angesprochen.

Ich glaube, die mussten jetzt "schnell" bzw. auf jeden Fall die 7er Version rausbringen, damit mal wieder Umsatz reinkommt bzw. wegen fehlender Funktionalität die Leute nicht zu anderen Systemen wechseln...

Dear users,

 

If you are using Interactive Brokers as a data source you may sometimes get bad ticks, so-called "spikes" with the price 10-15 points higher or lower than current price. This is a known issue on IB API side and has been confirmed by IB as a bug.

 

In order to solve the issue please enable "Generate new tick if total volume changes" option in Quote Manager --> Tools --> Data Sources --> Interactive Brokers --> Settings. This will eliminate spikes however some ticks may slightly differ from IB TWS data as they will be formed on volume change basis.

Es gibt nun einen Trick, MC7 dazu zu bewegen, trotz der 32 Bit mehr RAM zu benutzen als vorher.

Es funktioniert mit der Funktion "LARGEADDRESSAWARE".

Wie es geht, steht hier.

Danach nutzt MC 3GB RAM anstatt nur 1,8 GB.

ich wollte mich doch einmal ganz spontan für diesen sehr sehr schönen Thread zu euren Problemen mit MultiChart bedanken. Ganz besonders möchte ich mich für die vielen kritischen Worte bedanken!

 

 

Wie wohl die meisten von Euch habe ich bisher mit dem NinjaTrader gearbeitet.

Aufgrund der letztlich doch sehr komplexen Fallstricke die mit einem automatisierten Life-Trading verbunden sind, bin ich (... wieder mal) am schauen, ob eine alternative Plattform mir das Leben nicht einfacher machen könnte...

Dave Masalov von MC hat am 28. 9 geschrieben, dass in der erste Oktoberwoche (... also in den nächsten Tagen) das MC 7.01 Release kommen soll, und Sie zur Zeit an einer 64-Bit Version proggen "... to be reseased later this year".

Es handelt sich also um *unterschiedliche* Versionen.

Hat von euch wer MC7 für FX im Einsatz? Ich hab mich heute mit der gratis Version (DT) und einem MBT Demo-Konto herumgespielt, und irgendwie funktieren da einige Sachen nicht so richtig.

 

Am Chart wird die offene Position nicht angezeigt, allerdings die automatisch gesetzten Bracket-Orders schon. Allerdings haben die Exit-Orders die dopplte Order-Grösse als die offene Position!

 

Im Order-Blotter wird der Preis für offene Orders nur mit 2 Komma-Stellen angezeigt. Den Preis zu modifizieren funktioniert hier auch nicht, da MC die Pips falsch berechnet (im Unterschied zu den Exit-Strategie Fenstern). Was man unter "Edit Symbol" einstellt, scheint dabei keinen Unterschied zu machen. Charts und Quote-Fenster zeigen korret 5 Kommastellen an.

 

Könnte natürlich alles User-Error sein, aber wenn dem so ist, ist es nicht wirklich intuitiv zu bedienen - auch nach ausgedehntem Herumprobieren, Forum- und Docs-Lesen konnte ich keine Lösung finden.

Skipping identical ticks during calculations

 

New option allows MultiCharts to skip calculations on ticks with identical price in real-time. About 95% of ticks have the same price, but it for most studies it makes send recalculate only when price changes. This option significantly improves CPU usage and increases processing speed during real-time, which is essential for times when markets get fast. This option is enabled by default, but you can turn it off if needed. It works only for indicators and it’s called “Skip Ticks” in the format menu.

Commodity Systems Inc (CSI) is world’s leading supplier of accurate daily updates of O-H-L-C-V-OI data on world markets complete with official day volume and open interest statistics, and historical market prices reaching back over 60 years. Trading Technologies broker enhancement

 

Certain brokers using Trading Technologies require separate input fields for Price and Order connection settings. These fields have been added to the TT data feed and broker configurations. Partial fills from Trading Technologies are also now logged in Order and Position Tracker.

 

DOM colors are now customizable

 

It’s now possible to change colors of different elements in DOM windows including column and order colors. The menu is available through right-clicking on the DOM window. Reset to Default button will revert any custom choices to default colors.

 

Documentation for 50 PowerLanguage keywords

 

PowerLanguage Help section was updated to describe 50 undocumented keywords. Check the Help file to see detailed descriptions and examples.

Ask and Bid values are now reflected in the Trade Panel below the last Trade price.

Custom Futures now support symbols with dashes in names (eg. OpenECry’s KC-M-SH2).

Custom Futures symbols now support symbols where month is indicated after the year (SGX exchange, eSignal data provider).

Insert Drawing menu item was added to the context menu when right-clicking on a chart.

Order processing for ZenFire broker was modified. Now limit orders that can be filled instantly are no longer converted to market order in MultiCharts. If the stop condition and/or both stop and limit conditions are met, then a limit order is sent.

Charts would stop updating with TradeStation data if TradeStation was switched between Online and Offline mode.

Daily bars plotted before a session break and daily bars plotted after would have different ending times.

DOM window for Trading Technologies showed volume improperly if symbol did not update.

MultiCharts and TWS were showing different volumes for ask and bid data series.

Last bar on a chart would not be visible under some circumstances.

ASCIIMapping would not work for some text files with tick data.

Tick charts would sometimes not display data even if it was in the database.

Chart context menu would incorrectly appear when indicator context menu should appear, i.e. after right-clicking a plot of an indicator.

Always a “No Symbol” message for tick charts if a symbol was added incorrectly, but then corrected.

Trading

Market orders would not be sent in SA or AA trading modes if Trade Size limited by Dollars per Trade.

Partially filled order with Trading Technologies was impossible to cancel after losing connection to broker.

TrailingStop jumps to current Close price and closes the position if it’s moved to Breakeven level when price doesn’t satisfy fill conditions for these orders.

Stop orders placed through the chart context menu had incorrect volume.

Position monitoring on multiple accounts didn’t work.

Open position wasn’t visible in DOM for Rithmic Test and ZenFire trading environment.

OCO order emulation didn’t work if orders in the group had the same price.

Information passing from MultiCharts to Interactive Brokers sometimes didn’t work, resulting in inability to turn on trading.

Order placed through the DOM would lag for 1 sec between placing and appearing.

Filled Stop orders for Patsystems would still show up as Submitted in Order and Position Tracker.

Scripts/Calculations

 

 

“Next bar” command did not work correctly when scripts were calculated during Market Data Playback.

Certain studies that use IOG serial functions to define inputs would take a long time to calculate.

PowerLanguage variables using “+=, -=, *=, /=” would not calculate correctly.

Opening several charts (eg. 1 day, EUR/USD, 5 years back) with 5 min BarMagnifier would overload RAM usage and cause a crash.

Memory would not free up after creating and deleting drawings.

‘Saving Data to Storage’ window would sometimes hang when closing MultiCharts.

Asserts would sometimes appear when using FreeQuotes.

AtCenterServer.exe would take up a lot of RAM.

Exception when opening a WSP file that is not a workspace.

Exception when placing an order through DOM.

Exceptions and asserts when calculating certain signals.

Assert and exception messages when optimizing certain strategies.

Assert message if Collect Real Time data is turned on and a bad tick (zero price, zero volume) arrives.

STD exception: invalid argument message when using indicators in Data Playback mode.

Exception when pasting symbols into Scanner window.

Connecting an empty symbol in QuoteManager (eg. DDE symbol with no incoming data) resulted in assert messages.

Impossible to create a chart of a newly added symbol without closing Format Instruments window.

When certain system fonts were unavailable splash screen was impossible to read.

It was impossible to close the message.

Progress number of quotes downloaded did not appear when opening a chart after session hours (when real-time was offline).

Server Busy message would sometimes appear if local QuoteManager database was large.

Alert would pop up informing about a new available version even if it was already installed.

PowerLanguage hint window didn’t work for the letter ‘H’.

Printer keyword in PowerLanguage wasn’t highlighted in red.

Gibt es eine MC Version die BugFrei ist?

Ich hatte massive Perfomanceprobleme mit der Release Version so hatte der Support mir geraten die beta 7,2 zu installieren.

Seit dem

Autotrades

- MC zeigt doppel bis dreifach posis an

- MC zeigt doppel Limitorders an

- MC zeigt doppel Stoporders an

- TWS zeigt jedoch alles nur einmal an - also keine ernsthaften falschen Orders rausgegangen. Wenn man jedoch nur mit dem Gateway spielt so erkennt man das nicht. Ich muss also zusätzlich noch TWS offen haben um es als safe zu erkennen

Manuelles Traden

- MC nimmt erst keine manuellen Trades an -> man kann nicht traden

 

Mittlerweile bin ich JEDEN einzelnen Tag beim Support und sie löschen beim Symbol Mapping auch die unnötigen raus die den Fehler verursachen. Ich darf mittlerweile jeden Tag meinen Broker (IB) Profile bei MC löschen und neu anlegen.

Traden ist schwer genug. Wenn man nun nach einem längeren Wartezeit endlich eine Order eingeht und die nicht mal abgesetzt wird ist das schon frustrierend.

 

MC7.3 kommt nächste Woche raus wo dieser BUG behoben sein wird. Wahrscheinlich gibt er dann tatsächlich doppelte Order an IB weiter.

 

Hier im Forum fragt man mich warum ich überhaupt die BETA mitmache. Die Antwort ist leicht. MC bringt eine Version raus die natürlich auch BUGs hat. Um sie zu beheben bekommt man Beta-Versionen die wiederum BUGS hat usw. Man kommt aus dem BETA Kreis nicht mehr raus.

 

Metatrader

- extrem Stabil

- keine BUGS - zumindest keine die mich so massiv gestört haben

- Marketmaker (und daraus folgende zusätzliche Spielen bzw. Eigenschaften) -> dies ist zwar ein NOGO von dieser Plattform jedoch schmachtet man der Stabilität hinterher wenn man intensiv mit MC tradet.

 

TJ im MC Forum schrieb ja selbst dass man nicht jeder neuen Version hinterher sein sollte - besonders wenn die alte noch funktioniert. Dies bezog er auf TWS von IB. Ich würde diese Weisheit gerne auch bei MC anwenden jedoch gibt es keine BugFreie Version von MC.

 

Man merkt bestimmt dass ich leicht frustriert bin und man fragt sich warum ich die Plattform nicht wechsle...

Da gibt es

- super Support

- die Hoffnung die nächste Version hat nur BUGs die einem nicht betreffen

- die 64er Version kommt bald raus und ich kann endlich mal ordentlich Backtesten

- Strategieentwicklung geht innerhalb von wenigen Minuten wo andere Sprache schon erheblich länger brauchen.

- das Wissen das andere gleichwertige Plattformen (NT) man auch Probleme hat und solange die BUGs bei MC harmloser sind als die der Anderen so bleibt man bei MC ...

 

Mit diesem MC7.2 BUG wo ich nun gar nicht mehr traden kann oder wirklich jeden Tag beim Support vorbei schauen muss ---- ich mag nimmer

Deswegen bin ich bei meiner letzten Programmieraktion auch auf NT umgeschwenkt, obwohl ich MC für den einfachen Programmierstil ja liebe, aber NT hat dann andere Probleme (zB mit IBIS und deutschen Stocks).

 

Manchmal denke ich auch, dass die Softwareprogrammierer gezwungen werden müssten, ihre eigene Software zu nutzen.

Die stabilste Version war noch die 6er Reihe. Aber aufgrund der neuen Möglichkeiten bin ich auf die 7.0 geschwenkt. Absichtlich habe ich die Betareleases zur 7.1 / 7.2 nicht mitgemacht. Tja, aber der Support hat mir geraten, die Betaversionen einzusetzen, weil diese stabiler seien, als das Release. Damit hatte ich natürlich wieder neue Probleme Wie siscop es treffend beschreibt: ein Teufelskreis.

Der Support ist klasse. Sie sind sehr bemüht um eine Lösung. Wenigstens etwas. Ansonsten mag ich MC sehr und meine Strategien lassen sich einfach umsetzen. Allerdings muss ich sagen, dass mich die Probleme von MC bereits reales Geld gekostet haben.
